This is kind of playing out at Broadcom, too, especially after absorbing VMware. VMware had a very enlightened WFH policy; they called it "The Future of Work." After the acquisition finalized, though, VMware employees were told by CEO Hock Tan to "get your butts back in the office." (Yes, that is a direct quote.) Thankfully, that doesn't affect me, since I work for a VMware business unit that's due to be sold off elsewhere (also publicly announced), but it was a bit of a rude awakening for most of the company.
